Only six kilometers away from Geysir roams Gullfoss, the golden fall. Its name comes from the rainbow that covers it, each time the sun accepts to lighten it.
Gullfoss is 30 meters high, combining two falls : first one is 10 m high, second is 20. After, water goes through gorges. A path goes to the level of the first fall. At the end of the path, you are just under the river. The noise is terrific and walkers have to be very careful, as stones are very slippy.
