Get your umbrellas : this town (village ?) is said to be the rainiest one. However, I drove through it under a big sun ! Main attraction of Vik comes from its rock needles, next to the cape.
The best way to approach is to drive the track along the cliffs but don’t go off track, unless you have a 4wd : you will be caught in the sands.
With its little church, Vik is the last « town » before crossing the sandurs, wide spaces of sand, ashes and stones. Next gas station ? 200 km away…
