With Jokulsarlon icebergs, Skogar is the most beautiful site of the southern coast. Its magnificent waterfall, 60 m high and 20 m wide, is frightening and terribly accessible. You can approach as close as you want, spied by the many birds that live on the straight sides.
On the right of the Skogafoss, a path goes to the top. It leads to Thorsmork valley (Thor’s wood) and passes between two glaciers. It takes eight hours to walk across but you don’t need that time to contemplate the waterfalls.
